Festival of Notre Dame de Bon Port
Barefoot sailors have brought the statue of Notre Dame de Bon Port to the cathedral and taken it to its shrine by the Chemin de Calvaire the following Sunday, on the first Thursday of July since 1016. There are special services and masses, sailors’ songs, concerts and bonfires during this event that is held dear by all residents of Antibes.

For the last 20 years, Antibes Juan-les-Pins has staged this exceptional series of operas in “Music in the heart” with Eve Ruggieri which is once more performed in the glorious setting of Villa Eilenroc in the heart of Cap d'Antibes. The voices of wonderful artistes soar in the open air on this most beautiful of musical journeys where nations and man unite. A true example of “the arts are the most certain method of escaping from everyday existence, and are also the best way of uniting the world.”

48th “Jazz in Juan” International Jazz Festival
Pinède Gould is to jazz musicians what the Scala of Milan is to opera singers: an important milestone in their career and a very special performance venue. Doyen of European jazz festivals, “Jazz in Juan” is a veritable mixing pot of styles and the latest trends. Popular music and off-beat, young artistes who have gone on to great fame, the classics and modern pieces… Many are the greats who have trodden the boards of the stage since the first festival in 1960 in the mythical Pinède Gould. Once again this year, they come to Juan to enchant and excite their audiences with the most brilliant performances on offer today.

The « Off » Jazz in Juan Festival
As usual this year, the Tourist Office and ASS Communication have organised jazz in the streets and venues around the town, including concerts in hotels in Juan-les-Pins and the Eden Casino during the 48th edition of “Jazz in Juan”. There are many exceptional groups and solo artists.

Festival of Notre Dame de Bon Port
20.30 at the Cathedral. Prayers, songs to the Virgin and songs by Mariners of Antibes. After the evening service, a parade of torches to la Gravette and the great fire of joy at the beach.
Sunday 6 July
Festival of Notre Dame de Bon Port
Cathedral and la Garoupe Sanctuary
6.15 – Mass at the Cathedral. 6.45 – Procession leaves for la Garoupe. Sermons at various shrines, arrival at Sanctuary and traditional sale of “fougassettes” breads. 9.00 – Solemn Communion Mass. 10.00 – Award of Diplomas of Honour to benefactors, the faithful and others. 11.00 – Mass. 16.00 – Rosary meditation.

Organised by the Autonomous Commune of Safranier, a lively and friendly local festival full of joie de vivre. With welcoming drinks, Angèle’s famous Pistou soup and the Safranier choir, all helped along by the ever chic and cheerful Monique Thybaud, with a big dance to end the day!
