The great variety of museums in Antibes have much to offer in the way of learning, and evoking of feeling and emotions. They are all linked in some way, through theme or chronology. The Picasso Museum being closed, the general public section of museums has concentrated its efforts on other museums in the town. History in all its aspects is an important factor. It can be seen in physical terms in the heart of the town, in ancient buildings and in museum colections. Both regional and European history with all its variety is brought to life: historic exchange between peoples, as seen in part at the exhibition Europe and Roman Gaul, trade routes and means of transport, political and military history, and the history of how people lived in the past in Antiquity at the Archaeology Museum, and up to the present day with newspaper cartoons at the Peynet and Cartoon Museum in the exhibition The Picasso model. Portraits, caricature, cartoons.
During the courses, much importance is also placed on the creativity of students, and they draw on the rich cultural heritage of the town to portray their own ideas and use their imagination with pencil, brush and paper, among other media.
