With its 25 kilometres of coastline, Antibes Juan-les-Pins
is a special, diverse meditteranean town. The second largest
town in the department, carefully balances economic development
and conservation of its rich architectural, historical and
environmental heritage. For Antibes Juan-les-Pins, protecting
the environment is not only conserving nature but also looking
after the health and well-being of all its residents. Policies
and strategies for the environment and urban development are
of prime importance.
Since 1996, the municipality
has been engaged in creating a policy for protecting and
enhancing the environment, while also including planned,
balanced development.
