Antibes Juan-les-Pins committed to a policy of durable development

National Durable Development Week takes place from 1 to 7 April. Antibes Juan-les-Pins council has been involved in implementing protection and preservation of the environment measures for several years and takes a very active part in this national event.

The terms “greenhouse effect”, global warming”, carbon emissions”, “durable development”, “energy saving” and “eco-citizen” have been part of everyday life for several years now. All these issues will be examined and expanded upon during April and information diffused to companies, staff and individuals through exhibitions and various events and lectures.

The theme once more this year is “Reducing energy consumption and domestic saving”. The home has been shown as the largest consumer of energy in the daily life of us all. There are many simple ways of reducing consumption which not only help the environment but also represent considerable reductions in bills.

Through various events and exhibitions organised by Antibes Juan-les-Pins council, in partnership with environmental groups, a great deal of advice will be given on ways of saving energy during Durable Development Week.
