Residents of the Autonomous Commune of Safranier invite everyone to the National Day dance in the square on Sunday July 13, and to take part in a big boules match on Monday 14 July.

For the 8th consecutive year, lovers of the game, beginners and old hands play in friendly matches in the lanes of the old town.
Registration is from 8.30 and finals are at the end of the afternoon.
A highly enjoyable day that is a great success each year.


Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 July

There are also celebrations and fun on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 July.

  • Saturday 19 residents of the commune meet for lunch at 12.00.
  • At 22.00 there is a grand dance led by Christine and Patrick Lavitola.

Sunday 20 there are drinks for everyone at 12.00.

Traditional pistou soup is served at 19.00 by Angèle, doyen of the commune.

More than 300 people attended the event last year and tasted the local speciality that is known far and wide, as attested by many tourists who would not miss the supper at any cost.
