Pré aux Pecheurs: a 600 place car park and new esplanade

Due to their great technical expertise and cutting-edge architectural design, Q-Pack company has been selected as constructor of the new 600-place car park under Pré aux Pecheurs as a delegation of public services construction.

The project, at an estimated cost of 20 million euros, comprises a three-storey underground car park. For better orientation each floor will be individualised and linked by a transparent lift. A great bonus of the building project is that the excavation will provide a 5,000 square metre esplanade that will be used for various events and give a new perspective to the port and Fort Carré. Also, more space being provided by the work, the project of old Antibes as a pedestrian zone will be re-examined. 100 parking places will be allocated for residents of old Antibes to facilitate local parking. Rigorous standards demanded The council has maintained their demand for rigorous standards being adhered to throughout the planning stages and negotiations of the project. A 30 year duration of DSP has been calculated in direct proportion to the investment.

In the commission, Q-Park has also been selected to renovate the two existing car parks at the Post Office and Frères Olivier. Top-of-the-range fixtures will be installed, in particular those concerned with public safety and security such as fire alarms and close-circuit cameras. The cost of the renovation is 1.8 million euros.

At the beginning, the proxy delegation will fund the council fees of 2,500,00 euros. The annual operating fee is established for one party at 20,00 euros and at an annual cost-indexed fee for the other party.
